Policies

Late Policy

Please let us know if you are going to be late prior to your appointment. Should you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your services we cannot guarantee that we will provide the entirety of the scheduled service as each stylist’s booking differs.

 

If your appointment has to be rescheduled due to you being late, we would have to charge a rescheduling fee of $25. This fee does go towards your next service.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment is very important to us. We understand schedule adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations.

 

Second offender cancellations made less than 24 hours from scheduled service will be charged a fee of $25 to reschedule. The fee does go towards your next service.

No Show Policy

A client is considered a no show after 15 minutes of not showing up for your scheduled appointment. If a second offender no show occurs, a fee of $25 for non chemical services & $50 for chemical services will be charged, and the invoice receipt attached with this signed policy will be sent by email. This fee does not go towards your next service.

Retail Exchange Policy

Products are not eligible for a refund, however they can be exchanged within 30 days of purchase, as long as the bottle is 80% full.

Children Policy

For safety reasons, and for our guests who come to relax, children are not permitted in the salon without an appointment. Anyone with an appointment under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Service Guarantee

All chemical services are guaranteed, if the recommended at-home hair care is purchased from Hair Smithsonian. Due to the growth of diversion, we can not guarantee your services if products were purchased outside of the salon.

Redo Policy

Because of the creativity of our industry, we DO NOT offer refunds. If you are dissatisfied with your results, we will work with you to make adjustments, within reason. All redo appointments must be scheduled within 7 days of the original appointment.

Right to Refuse Service

At Hair Smithsonian, we have the right to refuse service to anyone who displays disrespectful, violent, or discriminatory behavior toward any staff member or fellow guest. This includes the use of fowl language. We strive to offer a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.
